12 Smoothie Bowl Recipes That Look Beautiful

Sure, you can start your day with your favorite cereal, a plate of scrambled eggs, or some yogurt and granola, but if you’re looking to change things up, consider a smoothie bowl. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with a smoothie bowl, it’s basically exactly what it sounds like—a smoothie-like combination of fruits, vegetables, milk, and other ingredients that is blended and served in a bowl instead of a glass. However, smoothie bowls differ from smoothies in that they are generally thick enough to be eaten with a spoon, and benefit from an array of toppings (such as sliced, fresh fruit, nuts, and seeds) that offer texture and an additional nutrient boost.

Like smoothies, smoothie bowls are highly customizable and can typically be made with whatever ingredients you have on hand, such as frozen and fresh fruit, plant-based milk, oats, honey, and more. Another thing to love about smoothie bowls is that they can often be made in 10 minutes or less.
