Barbie, Taylor Swift, Timothée Chalamet, Margot Robbie, Young Sheldon, Olivia Rodrigo and Percy Jackson and the Olympians were among the big winners at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
SpongeBob SquarePants (voiced by Tom Kenny) and Patrick Star (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) hosted the Saturday night awards ceremony filled with epic slimings to celebrate 25 years of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Swift collected three awards, including favorite female artist, favorite global music star and favorite ticket of the year for her Eras Tour. Post Malone also won favorite male artist, Reneé Rapp scored favorite breakout artist and Rodrigo won favorite album.
In the television categories, Percy Jackson and the Olympians won favorite kids TV show while Young Sheldon won favorite family TV show. Rodrigo also took home the award for favorite female TV star (kids) for her role in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and Iain Armitage scored the award for favorite male TV star (family) for Young Sheldon.
As for film, Barbie scored the win for favorite movie, while Chalamet won favorite movie actor for Wonka and Robbie won favorite movie actress for her role in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse also took home the award for favorite animated movie.
Other winners of the night included MrBeast for favorite male creator and Travis Kelce and Simone Biles for favorite male and female sports stars, respectively.
Kelly Rowland presented Serena Williams with the highly coveted Legend Gold Blimp Award, for her career spanning the worlds of sports, fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
Paul Russell, The Kid LAROI and Jelly Roll were among the performers to take the stage, while Henry Golding, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Anna Kendrick, Shameik Moore, MrBeast, Benny Blanco, Iain Armitage, Margot Robbie, Olivia Rodrigo, Adam Sandler, Heidi Klum, Rita Ora, Bella Poarch and more made appearances.
Nickelodeon’s iconic animated characters including the cast of PAW Patrol and Rock Paper Scissors, Lincoln Loud (The Loud House), Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Dora (DORA) also made appearances throughout the night.
