Jesse Metcalfe is sharing an update on whether or not there will be a sequel to his iconic 2000s movie John Tucker Must Die.

Although the 46-year-old actor said the sequel was in the works last year, he has a sad update on the movie’s future.

Jesse was a guest on the Wednesday (July 16) episode of Tori Spelling‘s misSPELLING podcast. On the podcast, he said that the movie is likely not going to move forward.

According to the earlier reports about the sequel, Jesse‘s character would be receiving “karmic retribution” by watching his own teenage daughter deal with high school boys who were behaving the way he did.

Unfortunately, Jesse said on the podcast that the movie is “probably not gonna happen.”

He told Tori on the podcast, “They’ve been sitting on the script for a while. Everyone in the cast said they’d participate and it just hasn’t happened.”
