We got more insight into where Brad Pitt stands with his and Angelina Jolie’s kids.
As Perezcious readers know, the former couple share six children — 22-year-old Maddox, 20-year-old Pax, 19-year-old Zahara, 18-year-old Shiloh, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Over the years, all the kids’ relationship with Brad has been strained due to his ongoing messy divorce with Angelina. There’s also the infamous 2016 plane incident that led to the breakup to factor into the messy family dynamics. The actor allegedly physically and verbally abused her and two of their children, and it seems to have destroyed his relationship with them forever.

The estrangement became pretty clear when Pax called the Fight Club star a “world class a**hole” and a “despicable person,” with “no consideration or empathy toward your 4 youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.” Yeesh. Then, several of them dropped his last name! Last year, Zahara called herself Zahara Marley Jolie during a sorority initiation ceremony at college. Viviene went by Viviene Jolie in the playbill for The Outsiders. Shiloh also dropped Brad’s last name, but took things a step further by submitting paperwork to have the surname legally dropped! Wild!
And now, over a month after the bombshell filing, a new report shared that the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star is still practically estranged from most of his children. A source close to the family told People on Tuesday that Brad “has virtually no contact with the adult kids.” But when it comes to the younger kids? He still sees and talks to them. However, he’s had “limited” visits with them due to his busy schedule filming in Europe for his upcoming racing movie, F1. The insider said:
“His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule. [Angelina] has the kids most of the time, but per their agreement, he has visitation with the younger kids.”
Whether his younger kids actually want to see him is a different story. They seem to be distancing themselves from Brad more and more, too. But as the source noted, he still has visitation rights with them due to the custody agreement between him and Angelina — regardless of how they feel about him. The rest of his family members, like Maddox, Pax, and Zahara? They’ve apparently made it pretty clear they are team Angie and no longer want Brad in their lives. Oof.
