Buffalo Wild Wings Releases a New Buffalo Bacon Sauce

Buffalo Wild Wings may be known for its chicken wings, but today, it’s announcing it’s shaking things up with a new meaty menu of sandwiches — and one extremely special sauce meant to spice up the upcoming football season. 

On Monday, the chain announced the addition of its bacon-centric menu, which includes a bacon-flavored sauce and sandwiches piled high with thick-cut bacon. 

“We are constantly innovating our menu to bring people the best flavors,” Tristan Meline, the chief marketing officer at Buffalo Wild Wings, shared in a press release provided to Food & Wine. “From the smoky notes in our new Buffalo Bacon Sauce to the irresistible Bacon Patty Melt, we have raised the bar with our new thick-cut bacon menu, combining high-quality ingredients and delicious flavors.”

To get specific, the new Buffalo Bacon Sauce brings together “bold buffalo and smoky bacon for the first time, creating the perfect match-up for the upcoming football season,” the restaurant chain explained. 

As for its three new sandwiches, those include the BLT Sandwich, Bacon Patty Melt, and the Bacon Mac & Cheese Burger. 

The BLT Sandwich, Buffalo Wild Wings explained, is made with ” thick-cut bacon, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, and bacon aioli on toasted parmesan brioche,” and the Bacon Patty Melt is a “hand-smashed double patty, thick-cut bacon, Swiss and American cheese, grilled onions, and bacon aioli on brioche toast.”

Lastly, its Bacon Mac & Cheese Burger comes with a hand-smashed double patty and is topped with that thick-cut bacon you came for, along with American cheese, mac & cheese, pickled hot peppers, and Hatch chile aioli, all between a challah bun.

But this isn’t the only way to enjoy bacon at Buffalo Wild Wings. Its thick-cut bacon and Buffalo Bacon Sauce are also available to put on wings, burgers, sandwiches, and basically anything else you want to put it on just for fun. However, like football season, this sauce is only around for a limited time, so drizzle it on everything while you can. Fans can get the new sauce and sandwiches starting now at participating Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars and GO locations or through its takeout and delivery services.
