Cynthia Erivo and her incredible year will be celebrated during the 2025 Oscars over the weekend.
The 38-year-old Wicked actress and costar Ariana Grande have been tapped to deliver a special performance during the awards ceremony on Sunday (March 2). She is also nominated for Best Actress for her work on the movie.
During a press conference, Oscars executive producer Katy Mullan made it clear that Cynthia would have a moment center stage whether she wins the award or not.

“I think that Cynthia delivered an incredible performance this year and there is a very special moment on the show. We can’t reveal what it is or where it is,” Katy teased, via People. “I think that any fans of Cynthia Erivo, you’re going to get something that is hugely entertaining and full of joy and really celebrates her, her incredible talent and her place in the last year in music.”
