Eggo and Chip City Cookies Release a Blueberry Eggo Waffle Cookie

Look, we’re not the type to judge you for eating cookies for breakfast — especially because there’s a chance we’re doing the same thing. Luckily for us cookie monsters, Chip City Cookies has a new limited-edition treat that could be the perfect stand-in for whatever you were going to have with your coffee, but you could enjoy it any other time of day too.

The New York-based cookie chain is partnering with Kellanova — formerly known as the Kellogg Company — to release a Blueberry Eggo Waffle Cookie. The ultra-special treat combines a maple-and-brown sugar cookie with dried blueberries, maple frosting, and Eggo graham crackers.

If you’d like to try the Blueberry Eggo Waffle Cookie, you’ll need to act fast: It’s only available for two weekends this month. It will be sold at all of Chip City’s locations on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, and then on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27. As of this writing, Chip City has 41 stores in New York City and on Long Island, as well as in Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia.

“It’s always fun working on new flavors and creations, especially ones that evoke feelings of nostalgia,” said Theodore Gailas, the co-founder and chief brand officer of Chip City Cookies. “Cookies have a way of taking us back to our childhood and filling us with warm memories. This is how we feel about Eggo Waffles. They’re timeless, and the collaboration pairs perfectly with our Chip City gooey cookies.”

And if the Eggo Waffle Cookie isn’t your jam — or if you don’t live anywhere near a Chip City — know that you can always get the bakery’s cookies from Goldbelly, which ships nationwide. Like some of the other popular cookie chains, Chip City’s menu changes weekly. Its rotating offerings typically include several of its “core” flavors, a couple of more deluxe options, dairy-free cookies, and some seasonal or limited-edition cookies. Some Chip City locations also serve coffee, ice cream, crispy Thin Chips cookies, and Crookies, which are flaky croissants filled with cookie dough before being baked.

The Blueberry Eggo Waffle Cookie will be available at all Chip City locations for two weekends this month.

Gailas co-founded Chip City with Peter Phillips in July 2017 and the chain has since expanded from New York City into seven other states. According to its website, it will soon have 50 total locations. (By comparison, Crumbl opened its 1,000th store in February.)

If you do make it to Chip City this weekend, you might want to order a pair of Blueberry Eggo Waffle Cookies: one for right then and one for breakfast — or second breakfast.
