WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. and European aviation security regulators plan to carry a gathering subsequent week with Boeing (NYSE:) on its 777X airplane that’s awaiting certification, Europe’s high aviation security regulator stated on Tuesday.
Boeing in April confirmed a delay in handing over the primary 777X jet to 2025, from the earlier goal of late 2023, however stated it remained assured in this system.
Patrick Ky, govt director of the European Union Aviation Security Company advised reporters on the sidelines of an occasion in Washington the assembly is “essential” to share data.
Ky added the assembly is to speak about “what are the problems, what are the options, what are the mitigating components.”
