A few days ago, over the course of 24 hours, China conducted an extensive series of military drills simulating a blockade of Taiwan. Chinese dictator Xi Jinping desperately wants to take over Taiwan and its 168 nearby islands. He thinks such a conquest would cement his place as one of the giants in Chinese history.
