Joe Jonas is opening up about releasing his new album Music For People Who Believe In Love.
The 35-year-old musician’s second solo album was just released on Friday (May 23), seven months after it was originally supposed to come out.
While he delayed the album to put some finishing touches on it, there was a point where he was so eager for it to be out in the world, he really wanted to leak it!

“I was eager to get it out for a while there. I think last year at some point, I called my manager, I was like, ‘Can I just leak the album or put it out?’ I was like, ‘I’m tired of waiting,’” he told People.
Joe was then “convinced not to” and he’s glad he waited as he “wouldn’t have had” his latest single “Heart by Heart” on it “if I didn’t hold onto it. So I’m glad I waited.”
In addition to that song, 70% of the original effort remained, but “there was some fine-tuning,” including the addition of some features.
“There were some features that I was able to reach out to. There’s seven or eight features on the album, which is kind of wild,” he dished. One of the features is with his youngest brother Franklin – “Velvet Sunshine.”
“I’m just eager,” Joe added of wanting to release it. “It’s very personal to me, and I’m excited that I finally get to share it … after holding onto it for a year.”
