FIRST LOOKS

Peacock has dropped the first teaser for “Apples Never Fall,” based on “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel. All seven episodes will premiere on the streamer on March 14.

From writer and showrunner Melanie Marnich, the series follows the seemingly perfect Delaney family. Per the release, Stan (Sam Neill) and Joy (Annette Bening) are former tennis coaches who have sold their tennis academy and are ready for the next chapter of their lives. As they anticipate sending time with their adult children (Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Conor Merrigan-Turner, Essie Randles), a wounded young woman knocks on Stan and Joy’s door, which brings the excitement they have missed. However, when Joy suddenly disappears, her children are forced to re-examine their parents’ marriage as dark family secrets start to emerge.

Georgia Flood, Jeanine Serralles and Dylan Thuraisingham round out the cast. In addition to Marnich, David Heyman, Gregory Jacobs, Moriarty, Bening, Joe Hortua, Albert Page and Jillian Share serve as executive prodcers. Chris Sweeney is the executive producer and director for Episodes 1-2 and 6-7, while Dawn Shadforth is the director for Episodes 3-5.
