Kacey Musgraves Drops Video Teasing New Music

The clip comes after the country star bared her backside on Instagram earlier this weekend

Kacey Musgraves is either teasing a new album or the opening of a zoo. During the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, the country singer-songwriter debuted a 30-second video that showed her walking through a flock of ducks, petting horses, and sitting with a peregrine falcon perched on her shoulder.

She’s also seen running through a field, writing in a notebook, and, at one point, seemingly harnessing a ball of light. At the end, she gazes directly into the camera in a studio as a snippet of a new song plays: “My Saturn has returned,” she’s heard singing.

The video trailer comes on the heels of an Instagram post earlier this weekend in which Musgraves bares it all: The photo depicts her lying naked in the fetal position in a verdant field, her backside exposed to the elements.

Musgraves is a six-time Grammy winner and added another to her tally on Sunday when “I Remember Everything,” her duet with Zach Bryan, won Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The collaboration also gave Musgraves her first-ever Number One song.

Her last nominations came at the 64th Grammy Awards, where the track “Camera Roll” was up for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. “Camera Roll” appeared on her 2021 album Star-Crossed, the follow-up to Golden Hour, which was named Album of the Year at the Grammys in 2019.

Last week, Musgraves released a version of the Bob Marley song “Three Little Birds,” which appears on the soundtrack to the Marley biopic Bob Marley: One Love, in theaters Feb. 14.
