There are a few channels we miss after cutting the cord on cable. TNT is one of them. From the current NBA and NHL playoff tournaments to original series, the channel is a must-have if you’re keeping up with most major sports.
At a Glance: How to Watch TNT Online Without Cable
If you’ve recently ditched cable and you’re looking to watch TNT online, read on. Below are a few ways to stream TNT without cable, including live TV streaming services to fit different budgets.
How to Watch TNT Without Cable
Below are four of the best ways to watch TNT without cable, including options at different price points and one with a free trial.
DirecTV (which now offers hardware-free streaming) carries TNT in all of its packages. The most affordable TNT-equipped package is the MySports plan, which offers 20+ key sports channels for $69.99 a month. If you want more channels, including entertainment, news, and sports stations, grab one of DirecTV’s Signature Packages (starting at $84.99 a month). All DirecTV plans start with a five-day free trial.
A more affordable live TV streaming service with TNT is Sling. You can get the Turner channel in any of Sling’s plans; the cheapest is the Orange or Blue plan, which both start at $46 a month. Right now, Sling is offering half off your first month.
Another way to watch TNT livestreams without cable is Hulu + Live TV. The live TV streaming service is really more of a comprehensive streaming bundle, delivering more than 90 live TV channels and free subscriptions to ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu (on-demand). All of this costs $82.99 a month and starts with a three-day free trial.
Max (formerly HBO Max) recently announced that subscribers can stream dozens of TNT sports broadcasts with its B/R Sports add-on. You won’t be able to watch live TNT anytime, like you can with the above options, but you’ll be able to catch hundreds of sports games, including NBA and hockey games shown on TNT. The B/R Sports add-on costs $9.99 a month, on top of an existing Max subscription, which starts at $9.99 a month.
Note: As of writing, you cannot stream TNT online with Fubo or Philo, though that could change in the future. We’ll update this post as the channel lineup changes.
Can You Watch TNT for Free?
If you’re only looking to watch TNT for a limited time (say, for one big sports game), you can take advantage of the free trials from DirecTV or Hulu + Live TV to watch TNT for free without cable. You will need to enter a payment method to sign up for the free trials, but you won’t be charged anything as long as you cancel before the trial is over.

Right now, the biggest draws on TNT are the NBA Playoffs and the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. TNT carries many games from both tournaments, as well as many other sports like NASCAR.
