Meagan Good is opening up about her relationship with boyfriend Jonathan Majors.
The 42-year-old actress just received support from Jonathan, 34, at the premiere of her new movie Divorce in the Black on Monday night (July 8) at Regal Times Square in New York City.
Meagan appeared on the Today Show the next day and discussed her relationship, including how friends advised her not to date Jonathan amid his assault trial.

She told Today’s Hoda & Jenna that her friends told her to “wait to see how everything kinda shakes out” with the trial.
“Uh, yeah every friend advised me, but at the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum,” she said.
While Meagan listened to the advice, she decided to live life her way.
“I can always look and say, ‘OK, I’m proud of that.’ No matter whatever happens, I have peace in my heart, and I have harmony in my heart,” she said.
Meagan discussed the way her and Jonathan are there for each other.
“The support that we’ve been able to give each other, the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care and the thoughtfulness… it’s just been really wonderful,” she said.
Meagan and Jonathan have been together for over a year.
