More Than 1 Million Igloo Coolers Recalled Due to Injury Hazard

Unfortunately, more than one million of Igloo’s popular rolling coolers have recently been recalled due to a risk of injury. According to a statement released by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, more than one million 90-quart rolling coolers have been recalled due to fingertip amputation and crushing hazards. “The firm has received 12 reports of fingertip injuries, including fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations,” the report reads. “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled coolers and contact Igloo for a free replacement handle.”

The recalled coolers were sold at multiple distributors, including Costco, Target, Academy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and additional stores nationwide—as well as online stores like Amazon and Igloocoolers.com from January 2019 through January 2025. “‘IGLOO’ is printed on the side of the coolers,” the report says. “The coolers were sold in multiple body and lid color combinations,” the report states. “The following cooler models with tow handles are included in the recall. The model number is located on labels affixed to the bottom of the cooler.” Below, find a list of the recalled products, including their model number, description, and date codes.
