Netflix to Adapt Harlan Coben Books ‘Missing You,’ ‘Run Away’ – The Hollywood Reporter

Netflix unveiled that it will adapt two more Harlan Coben novels into limited series following the success of Fool Me Once. The new series will be based on the author’s Missing You and Run Away and be produced by Quay Street Productions.

Coben will serve as executive producer through his company, Final Twist Productions.

The news comes after Coben’s latest Netflix series, Fool Me Once, premiered globally Jan. 1, and, as the streamer said, “amassed 61 million views globally in its first two weeks, reaching the Top 10 in 91 countries worldwide.”

Missing You and Run Away will be the 9th and 10th o-screen adaptations to be produced from
the best-selling author through his ongoing creative partnership with Netflix.

Filming for Missing You will commence in the U.K. in the spring. Below are more details on the two books that will be adapted.

Missing You
Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh disappeared 11 years ago, and she’s never heard from him since. “Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again,” according to a plot description. “Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery
surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”

Run Away
“Simon had the perfect life: loving wife and kids, great job, beautiful home,” says the plot description. “But then his eldest daughter Paige ran away and everything fell apart. So now when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home.” But it turns out she is not alone. “An argument escalates into shocking violence that will shatter Simon’s life all over again,” the plot summary continues. His search for his daughter will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.”
