Muscat – The Ministry has introduced the charges charged for visiting castles, forts, historic monuments, customer centres and World Heritage Websites. In keeping with the choice, castles and forts managed by the personal sector are excluded from the payment construction. It additionally acknowledged that official authorities delegations and faculty journeys organized by academic establishments could be exempted from paying the charges stipulated in Article 1 of this resolution.
As per the choice, the payment construction is as follows:
For residents and GCC nationals above 12 years of age – OMR 1 for Class 1 and 500 baizas for Class 2
For residents and GCC nationals aged between 6 and 12 – 200 bazias for each Class 1 and Class 2
For expatriates above 12 years of age – OMR 1 for Class 1 and Class 2
For expatriates aged 6 to 12 – 500 baizas for Class 1 and Class 2
For vacationers above 12 years of age – OMR 3 for Class 1, OMR 2 for Class 2
For vacationers aged 6 to 12 – OMR 1 for Class 1 in addition to Class 2
