Pink to Perform at DNC Night Four, Ahead of Kamala Harris’ Speech

Pink is set to perform at the 2024 Democratic National Convention, ahead of Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech, the Associated Press reported.

The singer rounds out the lineup of performers who took the stage at Chicago’s United Arena this week, including Lil Jon, Stevie Wonder, Maren Morris, John Legend and more.

The performance will mark Pink’s first major political performance. The “Just Give Me A Reason” artist has also been an outspoken activist of women’s rights. In 2022, she told her fans who supported the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, “Never fucking listen to my music again. And also fuck right off.”

On night three, Legend and Sheila E. paid tribute to vice presidential candidate Tim Walz’s home state of Minnesota by performing Prince’s song “Let’s Go Crazy.” The late icon was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Wonder also made a surprise appearance in Chicago on Wednesday, where he performed his hit song “Higher Ground.” “This is the moment to remember: when you tell your children where you were and what you did. As we stand between history’s pain and tomorrow’s promises, we must choose courage over complacency. It is time to get up and go vote,” Wonder told the crowd.

During night two, rapper Lil Jon treated the stadium to his 2013 hit “Turn Down for What” before Georgia pledged their votes for Harris. Throughout the night Wednesday, DJ Cassidy played a curated set of songs to introduce each state and territory during the delegate roll call.

Music has been a key component of Harris’ campaign, with Beyoncé granting her team use of her song “Freedom” for her historic White House run. The track was then used in a new Harris-Walz ad that kicked off the DNC on Monday.

The Hollywood Reporter had reached out to the Harris campaign and Pink’s reps.
