Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin just found himself in a puddle of legal issues!
Over the weekend, TMZ reported the She Hates Me singer was arrested after a traffic stop turned into an all-out SWAT standoff! Everything apparently went down last Wednesday when the 52-year-old was pulled over at around 2:00 a.m. in his black Hummer H2 in Burbank, California for a traffic violation. The officer asked for his ID and quickly discovered he had an active warrant… For allegedly having a weapon at an airport, according to the outlet! Whoa!

The Blurry singer was asked to step out of the car several times but continuously refused. Eventually a crisis negotiator was brought in, but Wes still wouldn’t comply… The situation escalated from there as officers reportedly deployed pepper spray on the musician, which STILL didn’t get him out of the vehicle. A SWAT team ultimately joined the commotion at around 4:00 a.m. and broke his car windows before shooting non-lethal PepperBall® into the vehicle smoke him out. After finally surrendering, he was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to a hospital to have his eyes flushed. After he was confirmed to be okay, he was then booked into the Burbank Jail for his warrant and for resisting arrest.

He was later released, but is expected to appear in court on August 20.
