One of the best things about Xbox Game Pass is sometimes you get to play the latest and greatest games on launch day — as part of a subscription to the online gaming platform. Case in point: “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2017’s smash hit “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.”

And if you want to play the game online, then you first have to sign up for Xbox Game Pass starting at $9.99/Month with your Microsoft account. And then, you have to sign into your Xbox Series X/S or download the Xbox app on a compatible Windows 11 laptop.

Although the service doesn’t have a free trial available, you can access a 14-day trial for the higher-tier Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just $1. Afterward, you can either cancel or keep playing at the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate price of $16.99/Month.

With Xbox Game Pass, you can download and play as many games as you’d like from the platform’s extensive library with hit titles like “Diablo IV,” “Starfield,” “Death Loop,” “MLB The Show ’24,” “Halo Infinite,” “Forza Motorsport,” “A Plague Tale: Requiem” and others. Meanwhile, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate comes with Xbox Cloud Gaming for select games and online multiplayer for immersive and cooperative gaming experiences. Think of the service as Netflix, but for Xbox gaming.

However, if you’d like to buy “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” outright, then it goes for $49.99 for Xbox, Windows 11 and Steam.

Developed by Ninja Theory and published by Xbox Game Studios, “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” is set in 10th century Iceland and follows a warrior named Senua. She returns from the realm of Hel to seek revenge against the Vikings who destroyed her family and home.

Starting on Tuesday, May 21, “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” is available to play on Xbox Game Pass. In the meantime, you can watch the launch trailer, below.
