Taco Bell Announces 2 New Cheez-It Menu Items

We’ve been waiting for two years, but finally, the world is going to have the opportunity to have the Crunchwrap we all deserve: one with a massive Cheez-It in it.

If that sounds familiar, it’s probably because Taco Bell teased us all with this culinary delight back in 2022. Then, Taco Bell did a test run of a Big Cheez-It Tostada and Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap at a store in Irvine, California. As their names imply, both menu items involved massive Cheez-Its being used as a replacement for the crunchy tortilla. Important to note we’re not talking about a tortilla with a dusting of Cheez-It powder here, we’re talking about actual supersized Cheez-Its. 

Anyway, after that test run, Taco Bell told us all that the Cheez-It-adorned Tostada and Crunchwrap could potentially show up on nationwide menus, and then it left us all with just the Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos taco to satisfy our cheesy urges — until now.

According to an Instagram post by food influencer @markie_devo our massive cracker days are finally upon us. According to Devo, a Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap and Big Cheez-It Tostada will be available via early access for app users from May 20 to June 5 before becoming available nationwide on June 6th at all Taco Bell locations.

And of course, Taco Bell confirmed the announcement with a TikTok:

The Big Cheez-It Tostada is a massive Cheez-It square topped with seasoned beef, diced tomatoes, lettuce, shredded cheese, and reduced-fat sour cream.

Meanwhile, the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap is made with seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream. The tostada shell in the center of the Crunchwrap is replaced with, you guessed it, a gargantuan Cheez-It.

In addition to the new Cheez-It menu items, Devo says that Taco Bell has plans to bring two new drinks to its menu in June: Strawberry Limonada and Vanilla Creme Limonada. The Strawberry Limonada has a new Limonada lemonade-flavored freeze base that is then mixed with a strawberry freeze base. The Vanilla Creme Limonada starts with that same Limonada lemonade-flavored freeze base but instead of strawberry, mixes in vanilla creamer. 

What the Cheez-It gods giveth, however, they also taketh away. Currently, the Cheez-It Tostada and Cheez-It Crunchwrap are only expected to be on the Taco Bell menu until July 17th or while supplies last.
