(ANSA) – ROME, AUG 13 – Italy’s Jannik Sinner beat American
Tommy Paul 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday to reach the men’s singles final
of the 2023 Canadian Open tennis tournament in Toronto.
The 21-year-old seventh seed from the northern Alto Adige region
will meet Australia’s world number 18 Alex De Minaur on Sunday.
Should Sinner win the Masters 1000 title in Canada, he would be
at the same best ranking as fellow countryman Matteo Berrettini
at world number 6. (ANSA).
