The Most Popular Listings of August

The Four Percent

The most popular listings on The New York Times’s Find a Home site in August included a very affordable apartment in Inwood and the very expensive former home of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in jail last year.

The asking price for this 795-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bath co-op surely raised eyebrows and boosted the listing’s popularity. Inwood Hill Park’s 200 acres of greenery are nearby and the Art Deco building offers laundry and bike storage.

This one-bedroom, one-bath penthouse with a large rooftop terrace is about a block from Central Park. There’s a muted yet playful color pallet on the walls and ceilings. The $2,669 monthly maintenance may give some buyers pause.
