This Insulated Tumbler Never Spills a Drop, Even When It’s Upside Down

This Insulated Tumbler Never Spills a Drop, Even When It’s Upside Down

I always have to have water by my side, whether I’m working or running errands. For me, it’s frustrating that so many tumblers I’ve tried don’t keep my water cold and are never actually leakproof. If they get tipped over, there goes my drink. None of it’s ideal, especially when I am out and about this summer. That’s why I set out to find my perfect bottle.

I am happy to report that I have finally found one that ticks off every box, plus some. It’s the BrüMate Era 40-Ounce Straw Tumbler. BrüMate sent me this tumbler to try out almost two months ago, and I’ve been using it every day since. I don’t go anywhere without it. It tends to disappear quickly off the shelves, so if you’re in the market for a tumbler of your own, now’s your chance to buy it.

There are so many features I love about this Era tumbler. As soon as I removed it from the package, I could see that it’s built to last. This tumbler is made of stainless steel — including the straw, which I love because it’s BPA-free and doesn’t bend or break like paper or plastic straws do. It has a slim, tapered body that is cup holder compatible, which makes it easy to take it along when I head out the door. The handle is easy to grab and comfortable to grip too.

The one feature that blows me away the most is its leakproof straw lid. There’s a locking dial on the lid that you turn to open the straw when you’re ready to drink, or turn to seal it when you’re done. I tested this out immediately, filling the tumbler full of water, putting the lid on, and tipping it upside down over the kitchen sink — not a drop came out. This feature truly comes in handy. I realized that when it had accidentally turned upside down in my beach bag while I was carrying it. When I opened the bag to find it, everything in the bag was completely dry, including the tumbler.

According to the brand, you’re meant to use this tumbler for cold drinks and carbonated beverages, so it’s really ideal for the summer months. It keeps my drinks ice cold. In fact, I’ve put water and ice in this tumbler, gone about my day, and over 24 hours later the water was still cold with ice cubes still floating around. This is an important feature to me since I live in sunny (and hot) Florida. Cleaning it is simple too, as every piece of it is dishwasher safe. And, the lid comes apart for a thorough cleaning, too.

The Era tumbler comes in 18 colors on the brand’s website (I got it in Mist), and it’s also available in a smaller 30-ounce size. There is also a magnetic straw cover that keeps the straw covered and protected when not in use which stays securely in place on the lid where you place it when you’re sipping. Another bonus for me is that the brand is all about the importance of being eco-friendly. The lid of the Era is made from four recycled bottles. And the stainless steel straw also ensures there’s no need to use paper or plastic straws. Plus, most of the packaging it comes in is recyclable, too.

The Era 40 sits next to me no matter where I am. From the beach to my couch, it’s really designed to go everywhere you go. Find out for yourself and shop it now for $45.
