Wondering what country has the won as its currency? Not sure what a part of a Batman or Spider-Man costume is? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.

The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.

Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.

To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Sunday, August 11 (spoilers lie ahead, of course):

NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers

Across

1 Across: Part of a Batman or Spider-Man costume – MASK

5 Across: “What are you ___ today?” – UP TO

6 Across: Soup eater’s onomatopoeia – SLURP

8 Across: The “dial” in “Don’t touch that dial” – TUNER

9 Across: “Don’t move, Fido!” – STAY

Down

1 Down: Simply have to – MUST

2 Down: Best possible grade – A-PLUS

3 Down: Backflip in an action movie, e.g. – STUNT

4 Down: Its currency is the won – KOREA

7 Down: Ask some personal questions – PRY

It took me 0:50 to complete today’s NYT Mini.

MASK and STAY were the only Across clues I got on the first pass. I somehow misunderstood “onomatopoeia” as “palindrome,” so even though SLURP came to mind right away, I didn’t think it would make sense. Ugh.

I got all but PRY on my first bash at the DOWN clues, leaving just SLURP and TUNER to complete for a not-entirely-satisfying sub-minute win.
