Uh oh! We’ve already seen the return of Travis Kelce‘s business ‘stache as he returns to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs. Are we seeing the return of that red flag temper, too??
The tight end infamously got a touch too fired up during the Super Bowl, screaming in the face of head coach Andy Reid after a play went south after he had been sidelined. Heck, he nearly knocked the then-65-year-old into the dirt! It wasn’t a pretty picture…
Taylor Swift fans — defensive lot as they are — grew concerned about his potential anger issues. After all, he’s a REALLY big, strong guy. If he has that kind of temper in public, their girl might not be safe in private!
But Trav made it clear he wasn’t proud of his behavior after the fact, and there hasn’t been anything like that since… Until now.

The Chiefs just got back into practice mode, and almost immediately Trav got into it with a teammate. Is it something Swifties need to worry about?? Here’s what happened…
The team were running plays without pads, sort of a tech rehearsal before the complete heavy uniforms come into play. In one scrimmage, QB Patrick Mahomes completed a pass to Kadarius Toney, who was then brought down by the defense. However, defensive end George Karlaftis went a little too hard, SLAMMING into the much smaller wide receiver, sending him flying to the grass.
This is, as we understand it, pretty uncalled for in a practice with no pads. You hit hard enough, and you risk injuring your own damn teammate before the season even starts!
The entire offense seemed upset by Karlaftis’ overzealous antics. Toney threw the ball in frustration, apparently at the DE’s head! But it was Kelce who took it upon himself to exchange some words with Karlaftis. He can be seen in video of the incident getting in the defensive player’s face, even shoving him and bumping helmets! Eventually Trav’s teammates hold him back, and Karlaftis departs the field. You can watch the entire tense moment for yourself (below)! (BTW, it might help to remember Kelce is #87, and Karlaftis is #56!)

Hmm. Did Trav lose his temper here? Was it for a good reason? In a way, it seems he was just defending his teammate and calling out toxic behavior, not engaging in it. But was there a better way?
The responses from fans are mixed, with some saying Karlaftis’ hit was “dirty” and even suggesting it might have been “personal.” Others think it was just normal play, and if so maybe Trav was overreacting? What do YOU think, Perezcious readers??
