Butter Yellow
Butter yellow is trending everywhere right now, and your nails are the perfect place to showcase this pastel hue. “Think of the softest, creamiest butter melting on warm toast—that’s butter yellow in a nail polish,” says Juli Russell, manicurist and nail expert for Sally Beauty. “It’s warm, cozy, and effortlessly happy, making it the perfect pick for spring. Unlike bold neon yellows, this shade is mellow and elegant, flattering every skin tone while giving off a soft, sunlit glow.”
Ethereal Nude Tones
Nudes are a top April nail color trend for 2025, but springish weather has people feeling more light, airy, and ethereal. To lean into that vibe, opt for a flattering nude that flatters your skin tone, but make sure it has a bit of a shimmery finish.
Baby Blue
Soft pastel blue is light and fresh and fits the shift toward softer, minimal looks for spring, says Mazz Hanna, CEO of Nailing Hollywood and ambassador for Dazzle Dry. “It works well with sheer and glossy finishes and pairs with both simple and detailed designs,” she notes. “Runway collections featured this shade in flowing fabrics and layered textures, making it a natural choice for nails this season.”
Jelly Pink Chrome
Pink remains an iconic pick for manicures, but spring 2025 nail trends put a fresh and fun twist on this familiar favorite. “Similar to the glazed donut trend—which is still so popular—this look is a bit brighter with the translucent jelly look,” notes Vicki Ornellas, manicurist and global educator with Salon Perfect. “It’s one coat of a light pink French base, one coat of a pink jelly, then white chrome on top.”
Soft Peach
Soft pastel peach is a warm, natural, and neutral nail polish color that lends a bit of color without feeling too loud. Truly a spring icon. “It complements milky and glazed finishes and works with both neutral and brighter looks,” Hanna says. “It’s a great match for the season’s colors and textures.”
Tiffany Blue
Blue is one of the season’s favorite colors, so you really can’t go wrong with any shade. If you want an especially popular pick, though, opt for Tiffany Blue. “Tiffany Blue is that signature robin’s egg blue,” Russell says. “It is instantly recognizable, endlessly chic, and always luxe. It’s got just enough vibrancy to stand out while still feeling delicate and fresh.”
Mocha Chrome
Mocha chrome is rich, warm, and silky with a mesmerizing metallic sheen that makes it feel effortlessly luxe. “If your morning latte had a high-fashion moment, it would be this color,” Russel says. “The ‘latte nails’ trend is still going strong, but this version takes it to the next level with that high-shine, mirror-like finish.”
Cherry Red
A truly timeless hue, cherry red is a nice juxtaposition against all the pastels and chrome finishes we’re seeing this season. Note that this red leans more pink and warm versus having blue or cool undertones, and it’s bright and cheery hue instead of a deep wine, burgundy, or merlot. The perfect complement to cherry blossom season!
Powder Blue Chrome
Another way to wear blue nails this spring is to opt for a powder blue shade and give it the chrome treatment, Ornellas says. “This is a beautiful, classic color—a bright hue that is perfect for spring.”
Olive Green
If there’s one thing we can count on for spring is a little verdant action, making green a popular nail polish color for the season. Instead of a bright kelly green or deep forest hue, though, a muted olive tone is a popular pick. It complements the soft colors of spring beautifully and still feels fresh and new.
