4 Important Recalls You Might Have Missed This Week

It was a busy week for recalls! As you visit the grocery store to stock up on spring produce, pantry staples, and more, we wanted to make you aware of several recalls from the past week. Here are the ongoing recalls you should know about.

Fresh Tomatoes

The fresh tomato recall expanded this week to now include tomatoes produced by Ray and Mascari, Inc. The newly recalled tomatoes were sold in Gordon Food Service Stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, and were recalled due to Salmonella concerns.

The first batch of recalled tomatoes, which was recalled last week due to potential Salmonella contamination, was distributed between April 23 and April 28, 2025, in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Canned Beans

Baked beans are a popular spring and summer side (three cheers for grilling season!) but before you stock up for the season, you should be aware of an ongoing recall impacting 15-ounce cans of Yellowstone Brown Sugar Molasses Baked Beans produced by Vietti Food Group. The beans were recalled due to undeclared soy, which means they are fine to consume if you don’t have a soy allergy. However, those with soy sensitivities should avoid this canned product.

The now-recalled beans were sold at various retailers—including Associated Wholesale Grocers, which distributes to a number of independent grocery stores, K-VA-T Food Stores (which includes Food City), Hy-Vee, Meijer, and Walmart—in 23 states. Some of the states impacted by this recall include Arizona, Florida, Michigan, and more.

Ninja Foodi Multi-Cookers

Approximately 1.8 million Ninja Foodi OP300-series Pressure Cookers/Tendercrisp Air Fryers were recalled earlier this week because of a burn risk. More specifically, there’s a chance that the pressure-cooking lid can be taken off while the food is still pressurized, resulting in burn injuries from the hot contents in the cooker.

The now-recalled kitchen appliances were sold in the U.S. and Canada between January 2019 and March 2025 at major stores, including Amazon, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target, and Walmart. They were also available for purchase online.

Igloo Coolers

Before you gear up for your first beach day of the season, you may want to take a peek at your cooler. Earlier this week, Igloo recalled an additional 130,000 coolers manufactured prior to January 2024, because the handles could cause fingertip injuries, including “fingertip amputations, bone fractures, and lacerations.” This latest Igloo recall follows a February recall of more than 1 million coolers, which was initiated for the same reason.

The now-recalled coolers were sold nationwide, as well as at brick-and-mortar stores such as Costco, Target, Academy, and Dick’s.
