Staub Enameled Cast Iron Round Dutch Oven
A Staub Dutch oven can only be rivaled by a Le Creuset Dutch oven. Both are high-quality pieces of French-made enamelware that’ll last for years and years to come—though the Staub might eke out the Le Creuset when it comes to durability. It’s got a black interior that allows it to conceal wear over time, which wins it a top spot as one of our favorite Dutch ovens. Get a 7-quart size from Williams-Sonoma right now for $170 off and rest easy knowing you’ll get your money’s worth (and then some).
Le Creuset Dutch oven
Still, you shouldn’t discount the Le Creuset: Many cooks prefer the Le Creuset’s light interior because it allows you to monitor the level of browning on your food better. In terms of braising ability and versatility in moving from the stovetop to the oven, the two Dutch oven brands are equal. And Le Creuset’s enamel coating will last forever—you just might have to give it a good scrub to get rid of discoloration.
Lodge Cast-Iron Skillet
A good cast-iron skillet is like a pair of vintage jeans—take care of it, and it’ll last you for years and carry you through just about any situation you could imagine. Lodge makes one of our favorite budget-friendly skillets at under $50, and you can get it at even more of a steal with one of Amazon’s early Black Friday kitchen deals.

This patented tri-ply design features an easy-to-clean nonstick surface, combining the durability of cast iron and the searing strength of stainless steel. Staub Pumpkin Dutch oven

But there’s just something about having this adorable ceramic pumpkin-shaped dish from Staub on the table at Thanksgiving and that something is even more compelling when it’s more than 50% off.
Lodge 3.6-Quart Enameled Cast Iron Oval Casserole

Our Place cookware
Our Place’s cookware is known for being aesthetically-pleasing—their pieces are the kind you won’t mind keeping out on your stove at all times. But we also love its functionality (and the. fact that it makes a great gift). Their cast iron cookware set offers a toxin-free way to upgrade your core collection of cookware, while their classic Always Pan is a solid addition to any kitchen, but especially small ones where you need one pan to do a lot of heavy lifting.

Vitamix makes the best blenders on the market, and one of our favorite models—the 5200—is on sale right now. While you’re not going to get the high-tech presets you might with other Vitamix models, the 5200 is great for anyone in the market for an easy-to-use but super powerful and high-quality blender at an unbeatable price thanks to this early Black Friday deal.
Vitamix Explorian
If you need a blender with a smaller profile, then the Vitamix Explorian’s for you. This model provides the same blending power as Vitamix 5200, but is a bit more compact. It’s also priced a lower, making a more affordable Vitamix blender—a price tag that’s discounted even more this Black Friday. If you’re curious about other sales from our favorite blender maker, then be sure to shop our round-up of the best Vitamix sales.
Cuisinart 14-Cup Food Processor
Cuisinart is another brand name that’s practically synonymous with its best-selling product; this time, I’m talking about food processors. The brand introduced the first food processor to the American market in 1973, and it’s held the hearts of many home cooks ever since. The brand’s 14-cup model has been a favorite in the BA test kitchen for years, and it’s on sale for $50 off right now—just in time for all of your holiday entertaining prep work. Make pie or biscuit dough, chop onions and garlic in a flash, and blend creamy dips to tide over your guests while that turkey takes its sweet time in the oven.
Breville Sous Chef Pro 16-Cup Food Processor
If you’ve ever found yourself racing to beat the clock during a marathon meal-prep session, you’d probably get a lot of use out of a food processor. This pro model from Breville has a generous 16-cup capacity and comes equipped for you to slice, chop, shred, and even knead dough, so it’s got you covered no matter how ambitious your project is.
KitchenAid Tilt-Head Stand Mixer
If Vitamix reigns supreme in the blender space, then KitchenAid takes the cake for stand mixers. It powerfully whips, kneads, and whisks anything you put it up against, and the bowl is slightly tapered at the bottom so all ingredients are in contact with sides and get more evenly mixed. It’s the best of the best—making this one early Black Friday appliance deal you don’t want to miss. If you’re a KitchenAid stan, check out even more deals from the brand.
Typhur Dome Air Fryer
This Black Friday, don’t just settle for any old basket-style air fryer—treat yourself to sleek, splurgey model that vaguely looks like an alien probe. The Typhur Dome is our favorite air fryer upgrade. It’s fast, powerful, offers a wide temperature range to make a multitude of things, and is super big with over 150 square inches of cooking surface area. It doesn’t need any preheating and will cook food faster than a lot of the other models we tested.
Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro
For those in shopping for an air fryer toaster oven, you can’t get much better than the Breville Smart Oven. It’s the most versatile air fryer we tested and includes a variety of easy-to-use extra features that elevate the cooking experience, but don’t feel like overkill. It can bake, broil, roast, slow-cook, dehydrate, and, air-fry, and fit food as big as a whole chicken.
Wolf Gourmet Elite Countertop Oven
The Wolf Gourmet Elite is basically a mini convection oven. It’s got the same advanced temperature control and probe thermometer you can expect out of a regular Wolf oven, and it’s also a lot bigger than the average countertop oven—all qualities that make it one of our favorite toaster ovens. It even uses convection cooking, so it can double as an air fryer. That size does unfortunately make it heavier than other toaster ovens and it’s also pretty pricey, but sales on Amazon and Williams Sonoma can at least help take the edge off of that cost.
All-Clad Electrics Stainless Steel Immersion Blender
If you simply haven’t got the budget or counter space for a whole Vitamix blender, then an immersion blender might be the way to go. These are basically handheld blenders you can store in a drawer or cabinet, and take out whenever you need. Vitamix makes their own immersion blender (which you can also find on sale), but our editors prefer the All-Clad immersion blender. It features a high-speed Turbo button, and the blade is positioned a little higher than on other immersion blenders—meaning it better sucks even the chunkiest of vegetables into its vortex.
Ninja Creami
Is it an ice cream maker? Not exactly. In order to use the Ninja Creami you need to freeze all your contents ahead of time and then use it to blend them up. It’s sort of like a consumer version of the Pacojet, if that means anything to you. If it doesn’t, just know that it’s the thing for making sorbets and smoothie bowls.
Instant Pot Pro 10-in-1 Pressure Cooker
The Instant Pot “craze” might be over, but we still love having the opportunity to have pulled pork and brisket at a moment’s notice. If you’re just getting into the world of electric pressure cookers, this 10-in-1 model has all the features you’ll need and more. Yeah, it can slow cook and pressure cook, but it can also make yogurt and bake bread.
Philips Soda Maker Machine
The Philips soda maker can put out bubbly, spicy water with the best of them, and it has a slicker look than most. But unlike some of the other beautiful countertop soda makers (looking at you Aarke) the Philips is actually quite affordable.
Our Place Appliances
We’re obsessed with the Our Place Wonder Oven and Dream Cooker, the brand’s answer to a multipurpose countertop oven (that can also air fry) and multicooker. We Dream Cooker is one of the best electric pressure cookers we’ve used. It doesn’t have a ton of highly specific presets, which means you can use it for more nuanced cooking styles. The intuitive display just requires you to set a pressure level and time. The sear mode also puts a gorgeous crust on whatever meats you’re about to cook. The Wonder Oven is large enough for a whole chicken or a half-batch of cookies, and it looks cute on your countertop, too.
Balmuda’s chic little toaster oven
Balmuda’s toaster oven is perfect for smaller kitchens, since it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. It has the all the functionality of a much larger countertop oven, including steam capabilities and a specific setting for reheating pizza perfectly. The sleek design means you won’t have to sacrifice aesthetics for features.

Breville Barista Express Impress Espresso Machine
Breville is one of the top brands when it comes to espresso makers. They make one of our absolute favorite budget models, the Bambino Plus. While the Bambino isn’t currently on sale, you can get the much more high-tech model, the Barista Express Impress, for $100 off at Williams Sonoma. Or, if you’re the type who’d let a robot run your home if you could, spring for one of Breville’s techiest offerings to date and go with the Oracle Touch. It’s been a game-changer for commerce editor Carina Finn and is on sale in a gorgeous blue color for over $300 off on Amazon right now.
Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select Glass Brewer
Before the Fellow Aiden and Ratio coffee machines knocked it out of the top position, Technivorm’s Moccamaster long reigned as the best drip coffee maker—and it still is a really great coffee maker. It’s super simple to use and makes a tasty cup of coffee. It does take up counter space and doesn’t look as sleek as the Ratio, but it’s a high-quality, durable model you can rely on for many mornings to come.
Nespresso Vertuo Plus Coffee and Espresso Machine by De’Longhi
We generally prefer espresso machines or drip coffee makers over single-serve coffee makers, but we do concede that Nespresso machines do make a pretty great cup of coffee. They’re sleek, easy to use, and make great coffee and espresso with very little effort.
Balmuda The Brew Automatic Pour Over Coffee Maker
If you’re the kind of person who buys fancy pour over at your local coffee shop but loves the push-button functionality of a drip coffee maker, you’ll want to buy Balmuda’s coffee maker while it’s on sale for Black Friday. It makes between 2-4 cups of pour over coffee at a time, brewed directly into a sleek thermal carafe. You can adjust the settings so your coffee is more or less strong, and it even has a mode for making iced coffee.
Fellow Stagg Pour Over Coffee Maker
Fellow is one of our favorite brands for all things coffee gear, and their pour over maker is no exception. The double walled glass carafe will keep your coffee hot for much longer than single-walled options like a Chemex, and thoughtful design features like a gasket that helps secure the dripper to the carafe make it a joy to use. With a two-serving capacity, it’s an ideal pick for households of two or people who need a boatload of caffeine in the morning.
Espro P7 French Press
Espro’s P7 French press features two superfine micro mesh filters, which makes for some of the absolute smoothest coffee we’ve ever had from a French press. It has a 32-ounce capacity, so you can make enough coffee for a small crowd, and the metal keeps your coffee warmer for longer.
Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Trio 2-Way Coffee Maker
With the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Coffee Maker, flexibility is key: you can brew a single cup using a pod or coffee grounds, or prepare up to 12 cups with ground coffee. The machine features five single-serve sizes to choose from, and its 56-ounce water reservoir can brew seven single servings without needing to be refilled. Its standout feature is speed—brew a single cup in just 90 seconds, or pre-program your morning brew to start when you wake up.

Material grippy reBoard
We generally recommend getting one or two of three types of cutting boards—a plastic cutting board, a wood board, or a rubber board. If you’re looking for the best plastic cutting board, then lucky you—our favorite pick is on sale right now thanks to the Material early Black Friday sale. The board is made of renewable sugarcane and recycled plastic, and features smart design features like a small corner hole to push diced onions through and silicone corners that help prevent slipping (hence the name “grippy”). The board can show signs of wear and scratching over prolonged use, still the silicone corners keep it virtually stuck in place and the stylish colors it’s available in mean you won’t hate leaving it out on the counter. It’s discounted now during Material’s Kinder Kitchens Sale, which allows shoppers to pay it forward this holiday season and give a donation from their discount to One Love Community Fridge.
Stasher bags
Anyone in need of some extra food storage containers should absolutely take advantage of this 41% off the staff favorite Stasher bags. They’re made of silicone and will help you reduce the amount of single-use plastics in your life—plus they’re dishwasher-, freezer-, and microwave-safe. Use them to freeze individual portions of hearty winter soups and stews, store prepped veggies in the fridge, or bring a stash of granola to the office for when that afternoon slump sinks in.
Zwilling Enfinigy Digital Kitchen Food Scale
If you need a food scale and have visions of making your kitchen feel as techy and sleek as an Apple store, then we’d recommend buying the Zwilling Enfinigy kitchen scale. The glass surface makes it easy to wipe down and it’ll look super stylish on your countertop. It is a bit of a splurge for small appliance like a kitchen sale—but lucky for you, you can snag it on sale right now from not one, but two different retailers.
BergKoch 13″ Splatter Screen
If getting splashed with hot oil is a concern while cooking, it’s time for a splatter screen. The screen acts as a barrier between you and the pan, so no fear of the hot oil no matter what you’re frying. Made with heavy duty stainless steel, this splatter shield won’t feel flimsy while you’re holding it, plus it’s made to fit most cookware.
Dreamfarm Citrus Tools
While it may seem like reinventing the wheel for no reason, Dreamfarm’s flat citrus juicer is actually kind of a game changer. We’ve found that it presses lemons and limes with ease, getting the maximum amount of juice from each fruit. Paired with this zester, this set makes a great stocking stuffer for the home cook or mixologist on your list, but we wouldn’t blame you if you just bought one for yourself.
