WWE SmackDown Winners And Grades

Bayley Confronts Tiffany Stratton And Nia Jax

Tiffany Stratton gloated about being the youngest women’s Money in the Bank champion in history. She also warned Bayley, Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez about potential cash-ins.

Nia Jax made reference Bayley’s revealing outfit by calling her BBL Bayley.

Nia Jax defeating Bayley and Tiffany Stratton holding the Money in the Bank briefcase could be a great cash-in.

Bayley and Tiffany Stratton Segment Grade: B

Nia Jax Def. Michin

There were early “let’s go Michin chants.” When Nia rubbed her booty in Michin’s face, fans chanted “you still suck!”

Following Nia Jax’s victory in a surprisingly competitive match, Nia Jax laid out Bayley and Tiffany Stratton teased cashing in. Fans unraveled as she began to hand the briefcase to the referee, however Jax put an end to that with one disapproving look and fans booed.

Nia Jax vs. Michin Grade: B

Legado Del Fantasma Vs. Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews

Wade Barrett noted Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin were “in the doldrums,” and Corey quickly corrected him by saying they weren’t in the doldrums as they had done tours of NXT.

Before this match went to commercial, Baron Corbin hit an assisted dive over the top rope and this red-hot crowd went crazy for it.

Thick Worcester crowd was so hot, there were actual “let’s go Corbin” chants, which I don’t think I’ve ever heard.

Legado del Fantasma won after outside interference from Elektra Lopez followed by a V-Trigger from Santos Escobar and a Wingclipper from Angel.

LA Knight Challenges Logan Paul

LA Knight brought a contract with him to the ring. Since Knight pinned Logan Paul a couple weeks back, Knight was granted a shot at the United States Championship at SummerSlam. Nick Aldis, Knight signed the contract but Logan Paul did not.

Knight worked the crowd into a frenzy as he goaded Paul, and the promo ended with a more-than-emphatic “yeah!”

LA Knight Promo Grade: A

Naomi Def. Blair Davenport

After a video package and no less than five minutes waiting in the ring during backstage segments, Davenport went on to lose to Naomi clean.

WWE doesn’t seem to have a plan for Blair Davenport on the main roster, but hopefully the loss is the beginning of Davenport moving on to bigger and better things.

Right on cue, Blair Davenport attacked Naomi backstage right after shaking her hand.

Naomi vs. Blair Davenport Grade: C+

DIY Def. A-Town Down Under

An overly aggressive Grayson Waller had a miscue with Tommaso Ciampa on a tornado DDT on the apron before SmackDown went to break.

DIY won with the Meeting in the Middle, leading to more arguing between Waller and Ciampa. As A-Town Down Under were arguing, Jacob Fatu hit the ring and destroyed everybody.

Fans chanted “holy s—t” as Fatu hit an impressive moonsault, bringing out Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline .

The Bloodline Destroys Cody Rhodes And Randy Orton

Solo Sikoa fought off “we want Roman” chants to talk about all the people who are gone due to The Bloodline: Jimmy Uso, Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns.

Solo Sikoa called out Cody Rhodes to acknowledge him, and of course, that didn’t happen. The Samoans pounced, and staying true to a promise made earlier in the night, Randy Orton hit the ring a nd backed up Cody Rhodes.

Orton was cut off by Fatu, and the Tongans pounced on Randy. As The Bloodline destroyed Orton, The Bloodline made Rhodes watch as Rhodes screamed “take me instead!”
