Shopping during a huge sale is my favorite pastime, simply because I refuse to buy anything unless it’s discounted. It’s a big reason why I’ve been waiting for Amazon Prime Day to buy items I’ve been eyeing this summer—and prices are so cheap, they start at $20.

Amazon Prime Day 2024 is one of the biggest sales of the season, with items marked down on home, kitchen, fashion, and beauty from brands like Apple, Laneige, and Le Creuset. As Real Simple’s Amazon shopping expert, it is quite literally my job to find the best deals around. Fortunately for me, this research gives me hidden intel on the steepest sales from names like Grace Karin, Cupshe, KitchenAid, and Cadence, all of which happen to be on this editor-approved list below.

The best-selling Laneige lip mask rarely goes on sale, but right now it’s marked down to $20 for Prime Day. I love stocking up on this beauty gem, which hydrates and softens lips overnight, leaving me with an ultra-soft pout come morning. That’s because it’s formulated with moisturizing ingredients like vitamin C, coconut oil, and shea butter. It’s available in multiple scents, but my favorite is berry. 

Grace Karin Short-Sleeve V-Neck Smocked Waist Dress

I can’t resist a flowy dress in the summertime, like this breezy midi option from Grace Karin. Designed with a smocked bodice, a conservative V-neckline, and semi-puffed sleeves, this dress is perfect for brunch, church, or just a day out and about. I also appreciate that it’s mainly made with cotton to deliver that breathability factor I’m looking for when the temps get in the 90s. 

Anne Klein Rubberized Link Bracelet Band for Apple Watch

I recently bought an Apple Watch Series 9 with the classic sport band, which is ideal for workouts and outdoor activities. However, I’ve been wanting to buy another band that’s elevated for parties or events. The Link Bracelet is just the thing; I like its rubber links and rose gold hue that’ll go nicely with my other accessories. This way, it’ll look more like jewelry than a smart watch. 

Cupshe Knotted Scalloped One-Piece Swimsuit

My swimsuit collection is filled with high-waisted bikinis, but 2024 is the summer of the one-piece bathing suit. I have one in a pretty purple color, but can’t help but get another one in a summery shade, like this bright orange pick. Designed with stoneware materials, this cocotte can be used in the broiler, oven, and microwave, making it super versatile. So far, I’ve baked cornbread, made soups, and even stuck it in the freezer to set chocolate mousse in it. 

Gap Classic Cotton Shirt

Classic polos aren’t just for work anymore; the new “in” thing is to layer them over tank tops and even wear them as a swimsuit coverup. And because Gap is my go-to for essentials, I’m gravitating toward this button-down shirt that’s up to 74 percent off right now. The classic top has a collar, a breast pocket, and a long hem, which is great for knotting or tucking in my jeans. 

It Cosmetics Confidence in an Eye Cream

I’ve been using this It Cosmetics eye cream for months now, and I can attest to its magical powers. The dark circles under my eyes are significantly lighter and I notice I have less creases in that delicate under-eye area. Clearly, I’m due for a restock now that it’s down to just $29 for Prime Day. 

Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste 

Toothpaste may not be the sexiest thing to shop for, but it is a definite essential on my list. I have sensitive teeth, which is why I’ve always been afraid of using whitening strips. I tried this Colgate whitening toothpaste at my mom’s house and noticed a difference after a few uses. I’ve been waiting for the pack to go on sale before buying, although you can shop it in single and two-pack options, too. 

Tovolo Glide-A-Scoop Ice Cream Tub

Step one to making homemade ice cream is the above food processor. Step two? This ice cream tub that lets me set and freeze the mixture until I’m ready to devour my dessert. It has a slender build that looks easy to scoop out froyo and comes with a lid for sanitary purposes.  

Madewell Small Transport Crossbody

I’ve been using the larger version of this crossbody for years, but it’s so beat up, I’m thinking it’s time for a refresh. The Madewell Small Transport Crossbody is more compact in frame, which I like since there are times when I just want to carry a book, lip balm, and keys. It also has small exterior and interior pockets to stash tiny items as I dash out the door, like a hair clip or my phone. 

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion

My skin has always been dry, but I opt for lightweight creams in the summertime, like this Aveeno body lotion. It absorbs into my skin nicely, smells nice, and doesn’t leave an oily residue, like some other thicker creams.  

Nalodu Rectangle Hair Claw Clips 

Claw clips have made their way back into my hair accessory drawer, and I’m kind of addicted to them. I love the elevated look of these claw clips, which come in solid matte colors and glossy brown and clear options. And because they’re fairly long, they should hold my hair up and out of my face all day. 

Stasher Silicone Reusable Bowl Five-Pack

With all the cooking I do, you can bet I’m always reaching for a Stasher bag to store cut vegetables, snacks, and leftovers. I even use this half-gallon bag to marinate salmon! But I’m intrigued by these silicone bowls, which are made from the same silicone materials, but have a flat bottom to keep food upright. I’m thinking these would be great for lunches to the office since the mouth actually stays open for easy eating.
