If you follow our expert shopping advice, you can get a cast-iron skillet you can pass down to your grandkids or a nonstick pan that will help you make chef-worthy scrambled eggs for under $25. We also recommend getting a few tiny pans for single-servings and small portions, like the GreenPan mini egg pan or a tiny cocotte from the maker of our favorite Dutch ovens (these are perfect for baked eggs and mini casseroles).

Now that you have everything you need to make a delicious home-cooked meal, you’ll want some nice things to serve it on. We love this set of ceramic pasta bowls because even though pasta is in the name, you can (and should) use them for everything, and we mean everything. Ice cream? Salad? Yogurt and granola?
