Miley Cyrus hits the stage in a suit while being honored as a Disney Legend on Sunday (August 11) at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
The 31-year-old entertainer was one of this year’s 14 honorees, being recognized for her contributions to the Walt Disney Company over the years as a performer and leaving her mark on the company’s legacy. She made history as she is the youngest person to ever receive the Disney Legend honor!
Miley was joined by her mom Tish and sister Brandi at the event.

Country music star and actress Lainey Wilson performed the Hannah Montana theme song “Best of Both Worlds” while helping present Miley with the honor.
A tribute video was also played, featuring messages from John Travolta, Chappell Roan and Bret Michaels.
While on stage accepting the honor, Miley teared up while looking back on the early days in her career.
“I’m gonna let everybody get on a little Disney Legend secret. I’m the one that tells you what you’re not supposed to know. And what I want to say, is that legends get scared, too. I’m scared right now, but the difference is we do it anyway, and all of you can do that every single day. It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no such thing as failure when you try,” she said while wiping her tears.
“In 2005, Disney was on a mission to rebuild the company. That’s why they hired Bob Iger, and me,” Miley joked.
“I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana,” she added. “This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life.’”
