Aldi Ambiano Single Serve Coffee Makers Recalled Due to Burn Hazard

If you recently bought a single serve coffeemaker from Aldi, be sure to check the model number before making your next cup. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced about 28,000 Ambiano Single-Serve Coffee Makers are being recalled because they “expel hot water from the top of the machine, posing a burn hazard.”

According to the CPSC, Aldi stores in 38 states and the District of Columbia carried the recalled coffeemakers between July 2023 and September 2023. The recalled product, which retailed for roughly $50 each, came in a variety of colors including blue, pink, purple, and gray.

Each recalled unit is labeled “Ambiano” on the side. Check the bottom of the coffeemaker to find the model number and UPC to determine if it is one of the following items that have been impacted by the recall.

The CPSC stated these coffeemakers were recalled after Aldi received 25 complaints that hot water was expelled from the top of the machine. Currently, there have been three reports of burns from this recall.

If you have one of the coffeemakers impacted by this recall, the CPSC urges you to stop using it immediately and bring it back to your local Aldi store for a full refund. Customers may also choose to register the coffeemaker online to upload photos of the recalled product, receive instructions on cutting the unplugged cord, and be awarded a $75 Aldi electronic gift card.

Contact Aldi directly with any questions or concerns by phone at 888-770-7124 between from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.recallrtr.com/aldicoffeemaker.
