‘Rainbow Six’ Invitational 2024 Breaks Ticket Sales Record

The 2024 iteration of the Six Invitational, the annual Rainbow Six Siege world championship, is officially the biggest in the seven-year history of the tournament with a sell-out crowd in São Paulo, Brazil.

The 2024 tournament is the first to take place in Brazil, a nation that has a large and passionate Siege fan base, with multiple Brazilian teams winning top tournaments over the years. That fan base has now created a new record for Six Invitational ticket sales, with over 9,000 fans expected to attend the event on each day of the tournament, almost doubling the previous record.

“Every year the Six Invitational is a standout event in the esports calendar,” said Chrystina Martel, Executive Producer for BLAST Rainbow Six esports. “This year marks the largest Rainbow Six Siege event ever. The record audience numbers and passionate Brazilian fanbase during this weekend’s event in Sao Paulo have truly cemented this event in the esports history books.”

“We are thrilled with the unprecedented success of the Six Invitational 2024 in Sao Paulo, Brazil,” added Nelsen Garcia, Associate Director of Esports Live Experience at Ubisoft. “The overwhelming support from our dedicated community has propelled this event to new heights, reflected in record-breaking ticket sales. The passion and enthusiasm of our fans continue to drive the success of the Rainbow Six Siege community, and we are grateful for their unwavering support. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to pushing the boundaries of competitive gaming and delivering even more thrilling experiences for our players and fans worldwide.”

The event also has a record number of sponsors, with the likes of Intel, Lenovo, JBL, Eureka Ergonomics, Kingston Technology, CTRL and Aura, all getting involved in the 2024 Six Invitational.

So far the Six Invitational has been great, with two weeks of action leading up to the final few days in the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo. Four teams remain in the competition, with FaZe Clan already securing a spot in the final. w7m esports, G2 Esports and Virtus.Pro will be battling it out in the lower bracket to meet FaZe in the final. The winning team will walk away with a massive $1 million and of course the title of Rainbow Six Siege world champions.

The final is due to kick off at 1:30 pm ET tomorrow, February 25. But before we get there we will find out what content Ubisoft has planned for Siege in 2024, with the reveal of Year 9 of Siege, and of course the final matches in the lower bracket that are due to take place later today.
