Dexter is one of the most beloved TV series of the ’00s, which is why it’s no surprise that the show has spawned a prequel series airing now: Dexter: Original Sin.

The show originally aired on Showtime from October 1, 2006, to September 22, 2013.

The show follows Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a forensic tech specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami police, who leads a secret life as a serial killer hunting down murderers who have not been properly punished by the justice system.

Dexter won much critical acclaim over the years in its run across eight seasons, followed by a ten-episode limited series in 2021. And now, there’s Original Sin – and a sequel series coming too!
