More Than 19,000 Cases of Organic Milk Recalled by FDA, Here’s What to Look For

If you buy Horizon Organic Milk, you’ll want to check out your stash. Some products are facing an active recall from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), due to inaccurate packaging—which may lead the products to spoil before the date on the label.

The recall affects 8-ounce shelf-stable Horizon Organic Aseptic Plain Whole Milk boxes, which are sold in 12-packs. The affected products have Best Before/By dates of March 3, March 4, March 6 and March 7, 2025, with the UPC Code 3663207113 on the 12 pack, and 3663207127 on single unit containers. The recall involves 19,688 cases, which were sold in Arizona, California, and Nevada.

The FDA originally recalled these products on December 13, 2024, but it has since been reclassified as a Class II recall, meaning, “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

If you have the recalled milk at home, you should throw it out or return it to the store for a refund. If you drank the milk and are feeling unwell, you should contact your health care provider and report the illness through the FDA’s safety reporting portal or by calling 1-888-INFO-FDA (1-888-463-6332).
