These New Cruise Ships Will Make Waves Around The World In 2025

The 2025 cruising season promises to bring debuts of ships that offer new technology and new entertainment for guests. MSC Cruises will be presenting the largest MSC cruise ship in the United States; its MSC World America offers something for everyone with customized adventures. Other cruise lines like Virgin Voyages specialize in adults-only vacations with a focus on adventure and nightlife. These five cruise ships will each bring their own kind of excitement and style to cruisers in 2025.

MSC World America From MSC Cruises

MSC World America will make its debut in April of 2025, and the ultramodern ship’s homeport will be Miami, Florida. It will be the largest MSC Cruises ship in the United States. Its design accentuates American comfort and European style.

This sprawling cruise ship will cater to all guests with MSC’s signature style of choose-your-own-adventure cruising. MSC World America has seven distinct districts that have something for everyone, so guests can choose and customize the cruise experiences they most want to have.

Adults who value peace and quiet will want to stay in the Yacht Club. This is one of the seven districts of MSC World America, and it provides privacy and a luxurious experience. Yacht Club guests can enjoy an expansive, two-deck sundeck, and they’ll have access to its exclusive lounge and restaurant.

Other districts on MSC World America include a kid-friendly area called the Family Aventura district. It will have everything from an over-eater swing ride to kid clubs. There is also an innovative area created in partnership with the LEGO Group, and it will entertain families with the first LEGO-themed parade at sea, a master builder area, and LEGO Family Game Show.

MSC World America is a massive ship that spans 22 decks, and it measures over 150 feet wide. It will welcome guests to 2,614 staterooms. There are plenty to do beyond the staterooms, too. There’s an outdoor World Promenade where guests can relax, dine, and see shows. They can also look out at the ocean and see stunning LED light shows.

The ship also has an indoor World Galleria for drinking, dining, and shopping. Guests can choose from 13 restaurants on MSC World America. They can also enjoy a sports bar, a comedy club, a gin bar, a mixology bar, a coffee shop, a chocolate shop, and a British pub.

Viking Vesta From Viking

Viking Vesta is a small, all-veranda ship that is stunning and luxurious. It was designed to accommodate 998 guests in its 499 staterooms, and its length is 784 feet. Because of its small size, it can dock where a lot of larger ocean cruises can’t fit, and Viking offers some very interesting itineraries for this ship.

With its modern Scandinavian design, Viking Vesta is an elegant ship. Like the Viking company itself, this ship pays homage to the Norwegian tradition of exploration. Its staterooms all have a private veranda so guests can step outside and enjoy the beauty of the ocean or where it is currently docked.

Scheduled to debut in July 2025, Viking Vesta’s initial itineraries will center around Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Some of its available cruises include an 8-day Iconic Western Mediterranean adventure that goes from Barcelona to Rome and a 15-day Viking Homelands cruise that goes from Stockholm to Bergen.

Disney Adventure From Disney Cruise Line

Scheduled to set sail for the first time on December 15, 2025, in Singapore, Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line’s latest ship, and it will be first one for guests in Asia. When envisioning how this ship should look and feel, the designers were inspired by stories from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.

Disney Adventure will have seven themed areas. The Disney Imagination Courtyard has lots of greenery along the courtyard and stage. Ship parties and performances are held here, and guests can see some of their favorite Disney characters at different points of the day.

The ship’s Disney Discovery Reef is themed with under-the-sea Disney tales such as The Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. Toy Story Place is a spot for aquatic enjoyment that’s themed to the Toy Story movies. Other themed areas include Town Square which celebrates Disney princesses, San Fransokyo Street that’s inspired by both Tokyo and San Francisco, fun-filled Marvel Landing, and a relaxing haven called Wayfinder Bay.

Brilliant Lady From Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is debuting Brilliant Lady in the fall of 2025. As the fourth and latest of the Virgin Voyages Lady Fleet, Brilliant Lady has an adapted frame and was designed to navigate challenging environments that range from the Panama Canal to the glaciers of Alaska. That gives you a glimpse of some of the ship’s upcoming itineraries.

Brilliant Lady’s initial voyage will be a cross-country trip. The ship will offer a wide variety of itineraries in its first couple of years. There will be a Caribbean itinerary with stops in Aruba, Bonaire, Jamaica, and more. A 16-night Panama Canal voyage will have stops in Costa Rica, Colombia, and Guatemala. It will also have much-anticipated cruises to Alaska.

Like the other ships in the Lady Fleet, Brilliant Lady is for adults-only. Only passengers who are at least 18 years old can cruise on this ship. This is ideal for many guests who hope for peace and quiet – or simply amenities designed for adults – on their cruise.

Most cabins on Brilliant Lady will be outside cabins. In fact, there are 1,303 outside cabins and only 101 inside cabins. Each cabin has cool features like mood lighting that changes throughout the day, and you can control it yourself with the in-room tablet when you want the lighting to reflect a different mood. Most cabins also have balconies and a red hammock where you can relax, look out at the ocean, or read to your heart’s content.

Virgin Voyages cruises are also known for their nightlife. Brilliant Lady will offer nightclub acts in The Manor, live performances in The Red Room, a VIP bar called Richard’s Rooftop, and a social club with a nautical theme called Loose Cannon, among other entertainment options.

Celebrity Xcel From Celebrity Cruises

As the fifth ship in the Edge series of Celebrity Cruises ships, Celebrity Xcel will debut in the fall of 2025. This ship will have its debut season in Europe with Mediterranean-focused itineraries with sought-after places like Madeira, Portugal.

With Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Cruises wants to bring aspects of the ports of call along for the ride. It aims to “erase” the line between ship and shore. Guests can also feel closer to the sea with the ship’s innovative infinite verandas. Cruisers can be divided on infinite verandas, and many reviewers either strongly love them or dislike them.

Infinite verandas on Celebrity Cruises ships undoubtedly give guests more room in their cabins. That’s because they create a veranda by allowing passengers to open a window that creates a veranda right in the room. Other benefits to this include allowing both natural light and fresh air directly into the room. There’s also in-room automation so cruisers can easily control the shades, temperature, and lighting in their cabin.

For this ship, Celebrity Cruises is starting a new program. It’s called the Xcel ‘Dream Makers’ program. It’s open to anyone who wants to sign up for it, and it aims to be a global community that will try out new experiences and vote on their inclusion. The community’s selections will then launch along with the Celebrity Xcel in November 2025 for cruisers to enjoy.
