Lester Holt made the surprising announcement that he’s exiting as the anchor of NBC Nightly News after a decade.
Now, his replacement has been revealed.
Tom Llamas has been tapped to take over the seat at the desk. Currently, Tom hosts a program for NBC News’ Now live-streaming service. He previously worked at ABC, but left in 2021 for a role at NBC.

There has been a mass exodus of news anchors this year, with many fired and several leaving on their own.
