It looks Matthew Lillard has an exciting new role in the works!

On Thursday (May 1), Deadline reported that the 55-year-old actor, best known for his roles in Scream and the Scooby-Doo movies, is in talks to join the cast of Prime Video‘s upcoming TV series adaption of Stephen King‘s iconic debut novel Carrie.

Keep reading to find out more…As of right now, it’s unclear what role Matthew would play in the series. The project would reunite Matthew with Mike Flanagan, his director on another Stephen King adaptation, The Life of Chuck, which will hit theaters on June 13.

It was previously announced that Summer H Howell willplay the titular role of Carrie, while Siena Agudong will play the character of Sue Snell. Filming is set to begin this summer in Vancouver.
