Barack Obama is reacting to Joe Biden‘s cancer diagnosis.

Hours after Biden, 82, announced that he has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, Obama, 63, released a statement on behalf of him and wife Michelle Obama.

Nobody has done more to find breakthrough treatments for cancer in all its forms than Joe, and I am certain he will fight this challenge with his trademark resolve and grace. We pray for a fast and full recovery,” Obama wrote on X.

Michelle, 61, re-posted her husband’s message on her Instagram Story.

Biden served as Obama‘s Vice President under his eight-year presidency from 2008 to 2016. The two have stayed close ever since.

President Donald Trump also released a statement reacting to Joe Biden‘s cancer diagnosis.
