Zach Braff to Star in ‘Scrubs’ Reboot at ABC! | ABC, Scrubs, Television, Zach Braff | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Zach Braff is reprising his role as Dr. John Dorian!

The 50-year-old Scrubs alum will be boarding the upcoming reboot of the beloved TV series in development at ABC, per THR.

He originally played the role from 2001 to 2010 on the TV show.

John, aka J.D., was the narrator and central character for most of the show’s first run.

Creator Bill Lawrence, Zach and other members of the cast have said they’d like to reunite for years.

“We’re gonna do it, you guys know,” the creator said during a Scrubs reunion panel at the ATX TV Festival in 2022. “If you ever have an excuse to work with people you want to spend time with anyway, run to it.”

Zach is the first member of the show’s original cast to join the ABC show. Scrubs also starred Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley, Neil Flynn and Ken Jenkins.

Further casting and premiere date details have yet to be announced. Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence opened up about the beloved television show’s upcoming reboot at the end of 2024. Here’s what he said!
