3 Little Girls Found Dead After Dad Never Brought Them Back From 3-Hour Visitation — Now A Dangerous Manhunt Is Underway

Three young girls who went missing during a visit with their father have now been found dead. And now a manhunt is underway.
Paityn Decker, 9, Evelyn Decker, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, left their house for a planned three-hour visitation with their dad at around 5:00 p.m. on Friday, according to the Wenatchee Police Department. And that was the last time anyone saw the children. They never returned home, and no one could get in contact with their father, 32-year-old Travis Decker. Extremely concerned by the radio silence, the girls’ mom reported them missing the same day at 9:45 p.m.
Court documents obtained by Fox 13 Seattle stated Whitney Decker told police her ex was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and believed he was not on medication. The former couple had a parenting plan in which Travis was supposed to seek mental health treatments and anger management counseling. However, he didn’t follow through.

Despite this, the dad was allowed to see their children late last month. Something was off about him that day, though. Per Fox 13 Seattle, Travis was “quieter than usual” when he grabbed the kids on Friday, which was “out of character” for him. He also mentioned he wanted to get rid of his dog due to housing and financial issues. A previous release from the Wenatchee Police Department said the dad was “homeless and living in his vehicle,” a white, 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, “or at various hotels/motels or at campgrounds in the area.”
When the girls never came home after the scheduled visit, the court documents said, Whitney called Travis but his phone went straight to voicemail. That’s when she notified the police that her girls were missing. Law enforcement immediately sprung into action to try and locate Travis and the kids. Police didn’t find any of them in the nearby motels. However, they tracked that his vehicle traveled “westbound on Highway 2 from Wenatchee on May 30.”
For three days, they couldn’t find the family. It wasn’t until Monday that authorities found Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia. All three were dead. Per Fox 13 Seattle, their bodies were discovered at the Rock Island Campground. A preliminary report filed with the Chelan County Superior Court revealed they most likely died from asphyxiation. Awful.
As for Travis? He was nowhere to be found. Now he’s wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree kidnapping. He’s also already facing custodial interference charges. So far, this is what police have to go off of from the campgrounds: The father left behind his vehicle, which had two bloody handprints, and other personal items such as blankets, food, car seats, and a wallet in the center console. A tent and cooler were also set up close by. Court documents stated Travis’ cellphone showed he drove to and left the campground one day before the kidnapping.
At this time, police are asking anyone with any information that could help find Travis to contact them. He is described as 5 foot 8 inches, 190 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. See a recent pic of him along with the full press release (below):
He was last seen with a light-color shirt and dark shorts. The Wenatchee Police Department added that it is “unknown if he is armed at this time but should be considered dangerous,” noting that he is a “former Military with extensive training.” They noted no one should “contact or approach” Travis and only call 911.
A GoFundMe was also set up for the girls’ mom to cover funeral experiences and “support time off from work” while she grieves the loss of her children. See HERE. Our hearts go out to their mother. No parent should ever have to experience the nightmare of losing their kids so young and in such a disturbing way.
