Travis Kelce weight loss for Chiefs 2025 season is a lot

We don’t know yet if 2025 will mark the final season of Travis Kelce’s Hall of Fame career for the Kansas City Chiefs, but what we do know is this, per a report: he’s going to play at a lighter weight for the season.
Per Jeremy Fowler on ESPN this past weekend, he won’t be playing at his listed 250 pounds, but rather 25 pounds lighter.
“He’s told people close to him that he’s lost about 25 pounds this offseason,” Fowler reported. “Played a little bit heavier in 2024, it was sort of a thing. He vowed to change it, and he has.”
Why do that? Well, Kelce is 35 years old and will turn 36 this fall. He hasn’t been as good as he has in past seasons even though he’s caught 93 passes in 2023 and 97 last year. So maybe this is to combat the wear and tear he’s felt over previous seasons, or to be quicker when maybe he’s slower due to age or 175 NFL games of punishment.
We’ve seen Kelce with girlfriend Taylor Swift as of late, but as far as I can tell, no one’s noticed a huge difference in weight. Perhaps when he takes the field at Chiefs OTAs, we’ll see a slimmer Kelce now that we know this report.
