aio for calling my bf a joke

i (f24) and my bf (m25) have been together for a little over two years and have lived together for most of it. in that time i’m the only one who has had a full time job and while he does pay the bills, i feel like i do everything else (cleaning, shopping, taking care of all of our pets,etc).

every time i ask him to help me with something it is always an issue, and if he does it he always does it in a way that i still have to either finish or redo the task. when i point these things out nicely he always says i’m acting like his parent, and when i’m not so nice about it he calls me mean and won’t talk to me for a while.

today he asked me what he could do to help me and i said i really needed to do laundry but know that i wouldn’t want to finish it when i got home and he was like yeah, and i asked if he could please also put it up for me and he said that he has tried before multiple times (twice) and that he just couldn’t do it right. i just lost it and said that he’s a grown man and he’s a joke if he can’t figure out how to put up some laundry, he stormed off and that’s where the texts start.
