AIO: my sister is overreacting about engagement rings

So for context I (23F) got engaged last year, I told my fiancé I didn’t want an expensive engagement ring as I am always losing my jewelry and didn’t want to risk losing an expensive ring even if it was insured. So I picked out a cheaper ($250) engagement ring online. I love it, I think it’s beautiful. During the time I was getting engaged, we were having a hard time finding the right size ring, the first two were too big and had to be sent back. My fiancé was at goodwill and saw this big awful piece of costume jewelry and brought it to me as a joke (to be a placeholder until my real ring came in). We laughed and that was the end of it. Fast forward to now and my sister (26f) is shopping for engagement rings online. She’s looking for an extremely specific interlocking set we’re the wedding band interlocks with the engagement ring. She’s having a hard time finding one like my grandmothers and sent me a few that were close, but she’d be settling. I asked her about the prices of these rings as some of them are $3k+ and don’t even include the center diamond… $5k plus and don’t include the center diamond.. stuff like that. There’s nothing wrong with that but for context: they are living in a run down trailer that needs complete rewiring, half the power doesn’t work. They literally can’t cook, shower, wash clothes. That’s going to be a couple thousand. She just started working part time making $14 an hour at a sandwich shop. She owes me almost $1000. She got into a car accident last year and now doesn’t have a car. Her cat needs serious vet care.. just because they COULD finance it, doesn’t mean they should. BUT I didn’t even say all that, all I did was ask to see what she said about the price but clearly she was offended that I even asked. I at no point told her she should go cheaper, I just said okay understood. The same night I was looking for the design she wanted online, I came across this beautiful ring with the dainty interlocking system she wanted and thought oh my gosh!! This is it!! All the diamonds were real as is the gold. The price for the ring is $1,000 but it’s on sale for $800. Score right? Wrong. 😑 she’s insulted that I would suggest such a cheap ring (even though it’s the exact design she’s looking for). Is she overreacting?
