AIO that my husband snapped on me for getting him a video game for (part of) his birthday present?

Context: in June I had a traumatic brain injury and lost 2 years of my memories and they still haven’t come back My husband travels for work (much more now than in November of 2022, which was my last memory space) Back then, he LOVED this trucking simulator and was on it any time we weren’t gaming together. He’s traveling for work right now, so I set steam to auto deliver a trucking simulator I got on sale. Wednesday night, no call goodnight. Last night, I called him super excited to get into a college program and he didn’t sound excited for me, and all of the conversation after it was him snapping on me and being really mean. This morning, I open up my email to see he returned the gift on steam. When I asked him about it, this was his response. I made other gifts for him (he plays a LOT of OSRS so I made him coasters with his top two skills, a cooking tin sign based on OSRS, painted him a canvas of his favorite part of Alaska, a new birdhouse to add to his collection, and a limited print record of his favorite band.) Between him being so short and cruel this week, and now this, I’m really upset but I Dont want to ruin his birthday by telling him that he’s being super hurtful about me doing my best with what memories I DO have. submitted by /u/ComingOfRage1020 to r/AmIOverreacting |
