In the video, Alison is seen clipping her husband Dave‘s toenails while laying on a blanket in the middle of Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

After ripping a nail off his toe, Alison flicks it into the grass. The whole time, Dave is sitting there scrolling through his phone. The person who filmed the video captioned it, “Doing this for a man in public is wild.”

So, why do fans think the video is staged?

Alison and Dave are currently promoting their new horror movie Together, which deals with co-dependency.

“This is def promo for their movie and I am on board lol I love when movie promo gets a lil freaky,” one person tweeted.

Another said, “This got to be for the new movie cuz why else would they be doing this in public?”

Here is the official synopsis of the movie: “Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Franco and Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.

Together currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes after playing at Sundance Film Festival and SXSW Film Festival earlier his year. The movie will hit theaters on August 1 and a trailer is out now.
