Amazon MGM Names Charlie Coleman Head of Int’l Theatrical Marketing

Amazon MGM Studios has hired Charlie Coleman as head of international theatrical marketing. He joins the studio from Warner Bros.
Coleman’s hire was announced on Wednesday by Sue Kroll, the studio’s head of global marketing, film and series. In a memo to staff, Kroll praised Coleman as “an exceptional executive with deep expertise in global marketing and a passion for storytelling that resonates across cultures.”
“Over his tenure at Warner Bros., he has led the international marketing campaigns for some of the most successful and culturally significant films in the world — including ‘Barbie,’ ‘Elvis,’ ‘Dune,’ ‘The Batman,’ and ‘A Minecraft Movie,’ to name a few,” Kroll wrote. “He is highly regarded for his strategic approach, creativity, and collaborative leadership style.”
Coleman will be based in London and will report directly to Kroll, working closely with Stephen Bruno and the distribution and PR teams. His official start date is Aug. 18, following his departure from Warner Bros.
“This hire marks an important next step as we continue to scale our global marketing capabilities,” added Kroll. “Charlie’s leadership, combined with the outstanding work already happening across this team, positions us to continue raising the bar as we bring our films to audiences worldwide.”
Prior to Warner Bros., Coleman worked in various roles at The Walt Disney Company between London and Los Angeles.
