Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen Returning for CNN’s ‘New Year’s Eve Live’
Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are officially returning to ring in 2025 on CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live.”
This will mark the dynamic duo’s eighth consecutive year as co-hosts of the network’s NYE coverage, where they’ll broadcast live from Times Square in New York City starting at 8 p.m. ET. In addition to airing on CNN, “New Year’s Eve Live With Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen” will also stream live on Max.
The night’s guests will include 50 Cent live from his Las Vegas residency, Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo and Lil Jon. Mickey Guyton will sing “Imagine” live from Times Square and Patti LaBelle, Whitney Cummings, Amy Sedaris, Sasheer Zamata, Ziwe and Adam Devine will also make an appearance.
Back in October, Cohen hinted to Variety that he and Cooper would be back on television to celebrate the start of 2025 — and that they’d be drinking. “You bet,” Cohen said. “After what Anderson did in that hurricane, I’m not only giving him tequila, I’m throwing it at him.” (Cohen was, of course, referring to the viral moment when Cooper was hit by a flying object while covering Hurricane Milton for CNN in Florida.)
The two tend to create plenty of chatter during their New Year’s Eve broadcast, especially after alcohol was brought back on air for last year’s edition. Back in November 2022, CNN’s then-CEO Chris Licht said the network would be dialing down the drinking — but after a sobering 2023 celebration, it was brought back for Cohen, Cooper and their viewers to enjoy.
